Lawyer Misconduct - refers to the violation of ethical and legal standards, which include the failure to file motions, any conflict of interest in representation (or representing opposing sides or allowing personal interests to compromise the representation of a client), the failure to collect evidence, the failure to report evidence through discovery, a lack of open and honest communication, engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice, knowingly assist a judge or judicial officer in conduct that is a violation of applicable rules of judicial conduct or other law, or neglecting the fiduciary nature of the contract between counsel and the defendant.
